Coca-Cola Canada is proud of the work and progress made by all of its associates across the country. It is thanks to their efforts that the Company has become more environmentally and socially responsible and has allowed us to earn this designation.

Below are just a few examples of the sustainability initiatives that contributed to this exciting achievement:

Replenishing Water

Coca-Cola Canada is working with several respected environmental NGOs to support watershed conservation programs that improve water quality for communities and nature. Our goals is that by 2020 our operations in Canada will replenish 100% of the water we use in our beverages. Since 2010 we have replenished over 1 billion litres of water.

Combatting Climate Change

We’re investing in new technology such as energy-efficient LED lighting, alternative fuel vehicles and hybrid trucks, and making our transportation and manufacturing more efficient to minimize our carbon emissions that contribute to climate change. Through these investments and the work of hundreds of employees at our facilities across the country, we are on track to meet our 2020 commitment to reduce the carbon footprint of the drink in your hand by 25%.

Supporting Communities

With over 6,200 associates that live and work in every province across Canada – it’s important that we give back to the communities we serve. This is why we invest in a variety of both national and local programs that support important causes in a variety of areas. From providing new opportunities to women entrepreneurs, to scholarships for first-generation students, or helping teens develop their leadership skills, we’re proud to be working with amazing not-for-profit organizations to strengthen our communities for all Canadians.
