This week Diet Coke hosted an epic, one-night only event in Toronto to celebrate the much loved brand’s successful relaunch earlier this year.
To help set the mood, the team from Diet Coke transformed the iconic Walker Court at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) in downtown Toronto into a selfie-worthy lounge divided into four distinct zones – each themed after Diet Coke’s four new bold and exotic flavours. A group of special guests were then invited to come enjoy an evening of inspired cocktails and food as well as several surprise and interactive performances throughout the night.
Diet Coke spokesperson Gillian Jacobs – best known for her acting roles on NBC and Yahoo!’s Community and Netflix’s Love – was a special guest at the event. A Diet Coke fan herself, Gillian kicked off the relaunch in January, starring in the brand’s TV spot directed by well-known comedic filmmaker Paul Feig.
As a final bonus, guests of Diet Coke were invited to experience the AGO’s presentation of the Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors exhibition, of which Diet Coke is a proud Supporting Sponsor. The immersive and mesmerizing exhibition has been the must-see event of the year in Toronto, drawing thousands of visitors anxious to experience the exhibit first-hand.
Given Diet Coke’s recent bold refresh, supporting an artist like Kusama – someone that celebrates fun and playful design through innovative experiences – created the perfect venue for the brand to connect with its fans.
